My latest WIP, you're looking at A Dark, New World

Premise:
It's year 418 since the new government took control of Earth. The rebels made a daring move, and immersed the world in a poisonous gas. Only a lucky handful is going to survive, and Shane Reeves is among them. Forced underground where the rules don't apply, death is the price for speaking out of turn. Can Shane beat the odds, and survive in this dark, new world?

I'm really proud of this painting. I made it for my boyfriend's mother's birthday, it's now hanging in their dining room. I painted something that I actually like, a lot. I'm amazed. xD

Faerie I am not a faerie. I can no longer fly. My wings are teared, frayed cobwebs. I remember when they first grew, when you kissed me on each shoulder blade and I sprouted wings from where you're lips touched silken skin. I felt beautiful under your gaze, and my wings grew longer. But now they are holed; when I walk down the street people reach out and touch my wings, sticking fingers through tattered gossamer, tugging on the diaphanous threads as I pass. I imagine it's difficult going from having wings to existing without them, but this in-between, this permanent attachment to dying cobwebs, hurts more than having none at all.Faerie by ~Delicate-Motion
